Summer Teen Groups & Parent Coaching 2018

DBT CRISIS SKILLS + CREATIVELY COPING GROUP (2HRS)

 

Teens learn skills to deal with emotional crisis and feel more in control of themselves when things in life get out of control. Learn to self soothe during Creatively Coping where teens creative ways to cope tailored to their unique abilities and gifts. Creative coping skills are helpful when talking it out is difficult.

 

TEEN TALK- SELF ESTEEM- A CHRISITAN PERSPECTIVE (1HR)

 

Learn spiritual lessons and skills about where to turn when it seems the world is watching and criticizing your every move. Learn to accept who you are, as you are and “Swipe left” that negative self-critic who shows up to steal your joy in life. 

Yes, we will talk about Jesus & God in this group. ALL teens are welcome regardless of their spiritual or religious beliefs.  All opinions are welcomed for discussion in learning to cope in a world that constantly tells teens they are not good enough. 

 

PARENT COACHING- VALIDATION. YOUR PARENTAL SUPERPOWER! (1HR)

 

“You don’t understand!” Sound familiar?? In this series you will learn the skill and power of validation in your relationship with your teen. Reconnect, rebuild, and ramp up communication in 6 weeks! 

 

 

 

                                                                   

 

 

 

  

Who:  All teens ages 13-18yrs old. These groups are for teens struggling with dealing with life’s challenges, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, unmanageable ups and downs, conflict filled relationships, and self-harm. 

*All parents are welcome for parent coaching*

What:  Groups are presented in a psychoeducational/ support group format and include instruction of skills, peer support, creative arts, and role playing.

When:  Groups meet starting July 2018. We meet 1x per week for 6 weeks.

DBT Crisis Skills for Teens + Creatively Coping Group (2hrs)

Dates: July 17, 24, 31 August 7, 17, 21 from 1000am-1200pm

Teen Talk - Self Esteem from Christian Perspective (1hr)

Dates: July 18, 25, August, 1, 8, 15, 22 from 1000am-1100am

Parent Coaching - Validation- Your parental SUPERPOWER! (1hr). 

Dates (Virtual Lunch& Learn): July 18, 25, August, 1, 8, 15, 22 from 1200pm-100pm 

Dates (In person): July 17, 24, 31 August 7, 17, 21 from 430pm-530pm

Where: 143 Essex St, Suite 202, Haverhill, MA 01832. Groups will take place in a large and comfortable office setting. Virtual Groups will utilize online meeting platform. Login and download information will be provided.

Why: I create programs for teens and young adults to empower them to take charge and build healthier lives regardless of their circumstances. With teen depression and suicide on the rise, young people need a place to connect and feel a part of a community. Groups give hope, connection and validation when teens feel alone in the world. Parent Coaching helps parents connect and partner with their teen and still maintain their parental role in their lives.

Cost:  (All materials and worksheets are included in the cost of program).

·       Teen Talks- Self Esteem- $300

·       Parent Coaching- Validation (virtual or in person)- $300

*All 6 week summer groups are paid in full with cash, check, credit card, or HSA account. 

*2 monthly payments can be arranged and paid on a credit card with auto payment.
